Torchlight Infinite Currency/ Flame Elementium
Crafting plays a big role in modern Action RPGs. Back in the day, it was all about very low drop chances and days (if not weeks) of farming to get your desired gear. And then it dropped with the lowest possible affix rolls... Now, it's all about creating powerful items from scratch via a plethora of in-game systems. This also involves farming, but at least you have more control over what you get in the end. Torchlight Infinite follows the craft-your-own-gear trend and offers a polished and very in-depth crafting system. With it, you can create some of the most powerful gear pieces in the game and tailor their properties to your liking. To make things a bit more challenging and give players a choice between crafting and purchasing what they need, one of the most sought-after high-end enchanting materials, Torchlight Infinite Flame Elementium, is also used as Currency. We'll discuss how to get it a bit later on this page, now let's take a closer look at Torchlight Infinite's crafting systems.
Crafting Systems in Torchlight Infinite
Gaining more power should be one of your main goals in the end game of Torchlight Infinite. The best way of getting stronger is, by far, upgrading your gear. The game offers three main ways of doing so: Crafting, Enchanting, and Gear Empowerment. All three of these can be performed with the help of Arms Dealers that can be found in every major city. Crafting can get quite expensive, so prepare some Torchlight Infinite Currency before you engage with the below-described systems.
Enchanting - Each gear piece in Torchlight Infinite can have up to 6 Affixes. So, you naturally want to have 6 Affixes on all of your gear pieces! Sadly, items don't drop with such a large number of Affixes very often, which means that you have to create them yourself (with a notable exception of the Legendary items that can't be Enchanted and always come with specific Affixes attached to them). This is done via the Enchanting system by adding the 6th Affix to an item that was dropped/created with 5. It's essential to note that you can only add a single Affix to an item! If you try to add another one, it will replace the one added before. The Enchanting process is very simple: you open the Enchanting tab in the Arms Dealer's dialogue window and select an item that has missing Affixes (so has less than 6 and Affix was not added to it previously, basically). After that, you select what Affix you want to add (yes, you can select them!) and click Enchant. Depending on the number of Affixes that are already on the item, it will cost you different types of Torchlight Infinite Currency:
Crafting - This is a system that allows you to modify your gear to your liking by switching its Affixes around. Unlike Enchanting, Crafting works even if the chosen item has 6 Affixes already. In fact, it's mostly used to modify gear that has 6 Affixes to make powerful end-game equipment. Out of the three crafting systems available in the game, this one is the most important if you're after min-maxing and build optimization. The Crafting process is quite random, so you'll have to sink some Torchlight Infinite Currency into it before you end up with perfect Affixes. Here is how it works: Crafting is done by applying special Embers to gear. Each Ember has a selection of Affixes it can transfer to gear, changing one of the already existing ones. The transferred Affix is chosen at random and there are usually 5 possibilities, so there's a 20% chance that a specific Affix will be transferred. Each attempt will consume the selected Ember and some Torchlight Infinite Flame Elementium. With some luck and funds, Crafting can be used to make the perfect equipment for your character!
Gear Empowerment - This crafting system is used to increase the Energy of your gear. To show you why it's important, let's start by explaining what Energy is and in what way it improves your character: Every item gives you some Energy, the exact amount depends on the item's Quality, Level, and Type. Moreover, every item has its Energy Cap, which is the maximum Energy it can provide. Items very rarely give you Energy equal to their Energy Cap - you have to Empower them if you want them to do so. The Energy itself is used to improve your skills by unlocking their modifiers in the Skills tab. So, the more Energy you have, the more powerful skill modifiers you can select! Each Skill can be upgraded up to 5 times, and each subsequent upgrade costs more Energy. This means that you'll need a lot of Energy to improve all your favorite skills. So, how do you gain more Energy? You do that by farming for high-quality end-game gear and using the Gear Empowerment system to refine it. The process is random and it rolls a number that ranges from 0 to the chosen item's Energy Cap each time you click the Refine button. This is a very simple RNG-based system that you might not like, but you'll definitely have to use it (Or you can purchase some Torchlight Infinite Flame Elementium on Odealo and use it to Buy Energy Capped gear from other players).
How to get Flame Elementium
In Torchlight Infinite, Flame Elementium is not only a resource used in Crafting, Enchanting, and Gear Empowerment, but it is also the game's main currency. Because of this, you will need a lot of it to fuel your character progression, purchase stuff from the market, craft items, and modify gear. Below, we present you with some of the best ways to obtain FE in substantial quantities.
Farming Maps - We start off with the first thing that comes to mind when we think about getting Flame Elementium - farming end-game content. If you have a character strong enough to quickly and efficiently clear Tier V+ Maps (preferably Tier VII and VIII), you can easily utilize this method. Fast and AoE-heavy builds will be ideal for this. You will need some specific Trait Cards to make your farming more efficient (we recommend Doughty - Magic and Rare, Sharp - chance to convert 6-affix rare geat to flame fuel, and Generous - dropped flame fuel has a chance to be upgraded). Memory Compass can be used to increase the number and quality of gear drops, add more rare monsters to maps, and improve your flame fuel gains. You should re-roll your maps until you get one with a very high rarity and quantity value (always aim for above 100%).
Currency Exchange - Some of your crafting materials can be traded up via the auction house, as people are often selling their Torchlight Infinite Flame Elementium for lower-tier mats because they need them for crafting. Before you make such a deal, remember to triple-check the current rates to make sure that you're not overpaying. Doing this is only recommended if you don't need your embers and dust anymore.
Auction House - This method expands upon the previous one, basically. Auction House not only lets you exchange your lower-tier mats for Elementium, but it also lets you sell some of your items for Elementium as well! If you've found a Legendary that you're getting not much use from, don't let it gather dust in your stash. Sell it and invest the obtained Elementium into your character! Other than Legendaries, Embers are also often worth quite a lot so, instead of storing them for future use (especially ones that don't fit your builds), sell them to people that are willing to pay good money for them on the AH.
Turn-Ins - During Mapping, you'll accumulate a bunch of Memory Fragments and Cards that you don't really need. You can turn them to profit by turning them in at the Spacetime Wanderer. They exchange for Legendaries, Torchlight Infinite Currency, and other useful things that can be sold to other players.
High-end resources, like Torchlight Infinite Flame Elementium, can be excessively hard to obtain in sufficient quantity (especially if you want to engage in the game's crafting system). Farming them requires a well-geared character and tons of time... And most players don't have either of these things, especially at the start of their journey. Luckily, there are two ways to work around this. The first one involves a lot of sweat and very little sleep - you play when you have the most time, so during the night, gain levels, gear, and farm Torchlight Infinite Currency. The second is much less effort-intensive, much more reliable, and a lot quicker. Mainly, you visit Odealo and Buy Torchlight Flame Elementium in our store!
