Temtem Marketplace / Trading
Monsters carried in pockets... we have all seen this before, but never is such a refreshing, well-thought, and altered form. After the not-so-well received Pokemon Sword and Shield, comes Temtem. A game that takes the original idea and plays with it in a way that enhances and invigorates almost every aspect of the genre. It is a good-old Monster Capture game, with all features that we know and love, but somehow even better. Temtem is a true MMORPG; player-to-player interactions are an inherent part of the gameplay and almost all Temtem Assets are tradable. This means that the game features a fluid economy, based on the supply-demand relations. On top of that, players are able to compete or cooperate with each other, which adds to the in-game experience and makes gameplay even more enjoyable.
Temtem is set up in a fictional Airborne Archipelago, where humans and creatures called Temtems peacefully coexist. The archipelago is comprised of six floating islands: Tucma, Kisiwa, Cipanku, Arbury, Deniz, and Omninesia, which rotate around the central orb called "Pan-Sun". Each of the islands has its own climate that favors a certain type of Temtem. Tucma - Toxic and Crystal, Kisiwa - Neutral and Earth, Cipanku - Digital and Electric, Arbury - Melee and Mental, Deniz - Wind and Water, Omninesia - Nature, and Fire. During his adventures, the player will stumble upon wild Temtems that can be tamed and trained. All Temtems can be captured and stored in special devices, called TemCards (they work like certain white-red orbs known from some other games...). All creatures have their strengths, weaknesses, and a set of statistics (Health, Stamina, Speed, Physical Attack, Physical Defense, Special Attack, and Special Defense). Just like in other Monster Capture games, tamed Temtems can be used in Temtem vs Temtem combat (the battles are turn-based and fought 2 vs 2, which adds to both fun and complexity).
Currently, there is no dedicated Temtem Marketplace in the game, which means that direct trade is the safest option. Choosing the Interact option will show you the list of all other tamers nearby. Clicking on their icons will allow you to request a trade, challenge them for a battle, and more. After your soon-to-be trading partner accepts your request, a trade window pops up, and the rest is just a standard MMO direct-trade stuff... a word of advice; if you don't know an item's worth, research it before trading, just to be sure. Also, one should remember all old direct trade tricks (always double-check all items in the Trade window).
